The SOAP Web Service FASPSessionNet-200601 allows an application to monitor and manage FASP sessions that are controlled by Aspera Central.  This service can be used by an application in a polling or event-driven fashion. Developers familiar with the practice of constructing and deploying service oriented architectures should be accustomed to this setup. This SOAP service is implemented by Aspera Central and usually runs in the /services/soap/FASPSessionNET-200601 directory of the Aspera Central installation. The SOAP messages use documented SOAP style encoding.

The FASPSessionNET-200601 service can be used by an application to poll or allow subscriptions to notifications. This section goes over these two options in more detail. If you are familiar with service oriented architectures you should be accustomed to these mechanisms.

The FASPSessionNET-200601 has a WSDL and XSD file that provides an example binding to http://127.0.0.1:40001/services/soap/FASPSessionNET-200601. These files comprise the services that are used for code generation by the Web Service framework. To use these files you must change the soap:address flag, which is located at the bottom of the WSDL file.
